I know very very close to nothing about electronics and I need to make a device which will be attached to a wire in two places, which if the wire is disconnected in either or both places or broken will sound an alarm.The alarm does not have to be loud enough to be heard in another room but it should be as loud as easily possible. The whole device should be no larger than the  last digit of a thumb or smaller.Any help would be very welcome.
